We

Our Family

Tradition, heritage, and pride in crafting good mezcal.

From San Carlos Yautepec to the world

We come from a region where mezcal is inherited, not learned. Our grandparents already distilled it for family celebrations; today, Gregorio Jarquín and Areli Díaz —certified mezcal masters and sensory evaluators— formalized that heritage to share it beyond Oaxaca. Jorge, our fourth generation, is already preparing in English to welcome those who come from afar to meet us.

For years, mezcal was only distilled for home consumption and family parties. Thinking about the future, we decided to formalize the brand: take what we had always known how to do to other horizons, and be the distributors of our own work ourselves.

Our Brands

Rey Cosijopii

Our flagship mezcal pays homage to the last sovereign of the Zapotec empire of Zaachila and Tehuantepec, King Cosijopii. It is created at our palenque and ranch «Bendito Mezcal» under the tutelage of Don Jesús «Chucho» Jarquín, with the supervision of chemist Usuri Aguilar—a mezcal that honors the land where our family is born. «The last good mezcal.».

Jarqueen

Our second brand, designed for a female audience: same agave, same artisanal craftsmanship, with its own attitude. Part of how we continue to bring mezcal to new audiences and occasions.
